Getting involved in Drug Action Week 2009 (June 21-27) will be even easier this year with the launch of an all-new interactive website. Our website at www.drugactionweek.org.au brings together a comprehensive range of information, promotional tools and a National Calendar of Activities which is readily accessible by anyone wanting to take part in an activity during Drug Action Week. Also, for Drug Action Week in 2009, we will supply a free promotional pack to help make your activity a success. “We want to ensure we support individuals and communities who are keen to organise an activity for Drug Action Week,” said Alcohol and other Drugs Council of Australia (ADCA) Chief Executive Officer David Templeman, “Our new interactive website will act as a hub for the many activities staged across the nation during Drug Action Week.” The 2009 website is easy to navigate with activity organisers and members of the public now able to search their region for upcoming activities. “It’s important that we all get involved and the best way to do that is to be aware of what is taking place in your area during Drug Action Week,” Mr Templeman said. Coordinated by ADCA, Drug Action Week aims to raise awareness about alcohol and other drug (AOD) issues, and highlight the achievements of people who work in the frontline of the AOD sector.
