Drug Action Week: The message of Drug Action Week 2008 is about to hit the airwaves! The message that Alcohol is a drug-TOO is about to be broadcast across the nation with the release of a TV and radio community service announcement (CSA) by the Alcohol and other Drugs Council of Australia (ADCA). The Drug Action Week 08 CSA is a call to individuals and community groups to get involved in organising activities for Drug Action Week (June 22-28). Coordinated by ADCA, Drug Action Week provides a focus for communities wanting to raise the awareness about the issues or harm caused by misuse of alcohol and other drugs. The 30-second CSA, funded by the Alcohol Education and rehabilitation Foundation (AERF), will be played by radio and TV stations in metropolitan and regional areas across “We are pleased to produce this CSA as a way of harnessing community support to explore the issues relating to alcohol and other drug misuse,” said ADCA CEO David Templeman. The CSA and a 5 minute interview segment with CEO David Templeman, are also available for download on our website www.drugactionweek.org.au When you visit the website make sure you also register your activity on the national calendar and request your free promotional material to help you promote involvement in Drug Action Week 08.
