Drugs and violence: Toxicology and circumstances of death of homicide victims
A free public seminar by Professor Shane Darke
When: Thursday 7 August 2008 at 1:30pm Where:National Drug Research Institute Seminar Room Health Research Campus, Curtin University of Technology Level 2, 10 Selby Street, Shenton Park, WA
This seminar will examine how interventions to reduce substance use may have a major impact upon homicide rates. It will report on the drugs present in victims of homicide in New South Wales across a 10 year period. The relationship of intoxication to the circumstances of death will also be examined, including time of day, day of week, place of death and the means of death.
